I think the kids staring at the army instead of running is a direct correlation to the fact that Buddhas lead by example… it’s showing you, you don’t have to speak, to show people certain things.

A stream enterer cannot break the 5 Precepts , they are kind of disabled from it, and the 3 fetters are removed..it is better to use this as a guideline I think.

Towards the first say 15 minutes in or so the venerable nun says that karma doesn't make the earthquake happen but it puts you in that place. I don't see much of a difference between karma causing you to be in a place when an earthquake occurs and karma causing you to experience the earthquake itself. Just like you know you could say the people who were in the twin towers on the September 11th 2001 , then that goes to say basically either deserved what happened or it's like very close at least in my mind. But I'm a very new student of Buddhism so I'm going to intentionally make a little Mark here which says that this is not too disparage the Dharma but because I'm confused rather. Otherwise I love the Theravada 'school' and this channel looks great. Also I'm getting a little bit of a technophobia kind of vibe. I do not see a reason why a monk should not be able to have an iPad in 2024. Large language model type AI is hugely helpful to have because it will answer anything right on the spot and you can get a lot of the Dharma right through that or at least get pointed in the right direction. So I don't see any problem as long as you're not using it to watch Netflix all day or whatever.

daring of ignorance stops. immunity settles. you feel as a child. you are incapable of social nature. so you are dreaded by nature. a maturity arises in you to grasp knowledge to sway with nature. and whole existence blesses you with bliss & ecstacy. now society tried to know it. by giving problem what is it actually. suddenly you calm down for first time in shasrara. you again see beauty of bondings. you try to know it still. either it is picture of shiva or threat of krishna. Krishna is universe which still you don't know. & shiva depicts it is me. and teacher & ancestors have knowledge of it.
